Executive Director of Undergraduate Admission
Butler University is a private, nationally recognized comprehensive university, and they are seeking an Executive Director of Undergraduate Admission to provide strategic leadership for domestic and international enrollment efforts. The role involves overseeing recruitment activities, developing enrollment strategies, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance the admission process.

Responsibilities
Annually evaluate and oversee all aspects of the admission review process and notification timelines in concert with Enrollment Operations. Includes coordination for first year, associate degree, transfer, and international candidates with consideration, as needed, for graduate and online programs; includes degree and non-degree status
Oversee the coordination of the admission process for special programs such as dual credit, articulation agreements, and/or partnership programs. Assists with developing necessary policies
Analyze past recruitment initiatives to review trends and potential opportunities by markets/programs as to develop and implement an annual enrollment plan that includes goals, metrics, and methods
Evaluate and oversee additional key operating processes that support enrollment including search/purchase (contracts), community outreach, on and off-campus visit and event programs, yield initiatives, professional development and training, partnerships, and counselor relations
Collaborate with Executive Director of Enrollment Marketing and their team on all enrollment marketing and communications, digital strategies, yield activity, and microsite development as to strategically support different student populations within recruitment cycles
Collaborate with the Vice President for Enrollment Management and the Executive Director of Financial Aid on the financial aid leveraging strategy including merit scholarship process
Strengthen lines of communication between the admission leadership team and the entire Division by establishing a regular meeting schedule, affirming roles, and setting expectations
Assist/direct the further development of the University’s global recruitment strategy
Develop and continually enhance relationships with community-based organizations and secondary school leaders with particular emphasis on the city of Indianapolis and identified national target markets
Oversee a $1.5M departmental operating budget. Advocate for incremental funds as needed
Participate in recruitment and yield related travel, represent/present the University at admission sponsored events, conduct on and off-campus interviews, evaluate applications, and oversee Admission Committee(s)
Represent the Vice President for Enrollment Management as needed at on and off campus obligations
Stay informed about trends and best practices in enrollment management, actively participating in professional development opportunities and networks
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
Seven to ten years of progressively responsible experience in college admission with knowledge of selective admission practices
Demonstrated success in developing and implementing recruitment strategies to meet enrollment goals
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions and adapt when necessary
Working knowledge of and experience working with the admission process, including recruitment/yield strategies, customer relationship management (Slate) software, student records, admission cycle, application processing and processing software
Strong leadership skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and build relationships with stakeholders
Four years of supervisory experience of a diverse staff, including hiring, evaluation, supervision, motivation, and training of professional staff
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Oracle People Soft
Intermediate or advanced use of Slate CRM
Comfortable in a dynamic environment including significant amounts of autonomy
Ability to travel
Valid U.S. driver's license and demonstrates driving record insurable by the University
Preferred
Master's Degree
Demonstrated experience with successful practices recruiting international students
Record of accomplishment of achieving enrollment objectives in a higher education setting
Enrollment professional development experience and/or leadership roles
