Responsibilities
Maintain records in accordance with GAAP, and research technical accounting issues in support of new business initiatives
Oversee the accounting and finance departments work flow operations and provide customer support and assistance to team members on operational matters
Oversees the general accounting function, which includes inter-company accounting, general ledger, financial reporting, and balance sheet management
Manage financial statement reviews with team members on a monthly basis to ensure variance reporting and analysis of year to date and forecast performance against expectations
Act as the point of contact and manage our relationships with our independent auditors and Income Tax Preparers
Drive process and systems improvements across the financial organization, including design and implementation of key controls over financial reporting, maintenance of accounting policies & procedures and the chart of accounts
Assist management team in controlling costs throughout the Company through the development of reports, statements, processes, etc. as needed
Provide leadership to organization on all areas of accounting policy, maintenance of internal controls, and manage fiduciary processes and procedures
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
5+ years of experience in a corporate leadership role
Preferred
Master's degree (MA, MS, MBA)
