Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and manage a technical team, promoting collaboration and excellence
Design and implement scalable data processing solutions using Azure Databricks
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and convert them into technical solutions
Oversee the full development lifecycle: planning, design, deployment, and maintenance
Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to ensure quality and best practices
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering and Azure Databricks
Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Identify and mitigate risks related to project delivery and team performance
Qualification
Required
Expertise in Azure Databricks, including Spark, data pipelines, and data lakes
Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or SQL
Experience with cloud data storage solutions: Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Database
Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing
Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
12+ years of experience in data engineering, software development, or related roles
Proven track record of leading technical teams and delivering successful projects
Preferred
Familiarity with Azure DevOps (CI/CD)
Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries
Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Relevant Azure or data engineering certifications are a plus
