Responsibilities
Support STAT and GAAP accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations and regulatory reporting
Prepare financial reports and reinsurer billings and assist with audits
Provide variance analysis and identify process improvements
Communicate professionally with auditors, reinsurers and external partners
Support team operations, cross training and review of junior staff work
Assist with special projects and automation efforts
Participate in ongoing learning and development
Qualification
Required
Active CPA
Degree in Accounting
Strong understanding of GAAP and STAT accounting
Ability to work independently
Willingness to travel quarterly for team meetings
Preferred
External audit experience required, preferably from a public accounting firm
Experience with property and casualty insurance clients
