Required

You must take and pass the examination to be list appointed for placement in the Accounting Officer (Specialist) classification
Applicants must be authorized to work in the US at all times during their employment with the Department of FISCal
The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired
The incumbent will use tact and interpersonal skills to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, e.g., stakeholders, customers, management, peers, etc
The position requires the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and may require excess hours to be worked
The incumbent is expected to perform functions and duties under the guidance of the Department of FISCal's core values
The incumbent provides back-up, as necessary, to ensure continuity of departmental activities
Completed applications and all required documents must be received or postmarked by the Final Filing Date in order to be considered
The following items are required to be submitted with your application: Current version of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678, Resume, Statement of Qualifications
Possession of minimum qualifications will be verified prior to interview or appointment

Preferred

Experience performing a full range of Accounts Payable functions
Experience processing invoices in an accounting system
Experience processing travel reimbursements in compliance with policy and procedure
Experience preparing Payroll distributions
Experience creating and maintaining supplier IDs and employee supplier IDs within an accounting system
Experience processing salary, travel, and expense advances
Experience working with purchase orders and contracts, including verifying accuracy and compliance
Experience preparing or assisting with 1099 Reporting
Experience identifying, tracking, or resolving late payment penalty
Experience preparing or supporting month-end and year-end accruals activities
