Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial close
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal controls
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Lead audits and coordinate with external auditors and advisors
Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and controls
Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making
Supervise and mentor accounting staff as applicable
Optimize and maintain accounting systems and reporting tools
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience as a Financial Controller or Assistant Controller
Oil and gas industry experience is required
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, financial modeling)
Extensive experience with accounting and ERP software
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
Preferred
Experience in revenue accounting and cost accounting in oil and gas
Experience implementing or upgrading accounting systems
