US Army Corps of Engineers is seeking an Engineering Technician (Material) for their South Atlantic Division, Jacksonville District. The role involves directing field investigations, managing testing programs, and providing technical reports related to civil works and military projects.

Responsibilities
Directs field investigations, field and laboratory testing programs and analysis of soil and foundation data as they relate to and are utilized in the construction of civil works, military, and support for other projects
Provides technical reports, data, and design recommendations for earth and rockfill structures, structure foundations for buildings, definite project reports, and contract plans and specifications
Provides geotechnical engineering portions of civil works, military, and support for others earthwork specifications and reviews completed specifications for applicability to contract plans
Initiates and maintains coordinative action with Construction Division elements and the using agencies to ensure the reports are accurate and ready for the review of the engineers for the intended purpose
As a senior engineering technician, manages day to day operation of lab and field testing by coordinating personnel and resources availability and need as required to deliver results on time in support of USACE mission
Serves as mentor for lower graded engineering technicians
