ACCOUNTING ADMINISTRATOR I (SPECIALIST)
Caltrans District 3 is seeking an Accounting Administrator I (Specialist) to empower FI$Cal users through expert training and innovative learning solutions. The role involves designing and delivering training sessions, providing guidance on accounting modules, and collaborating with departments and IT teams to enhance training methods and documentation.

Designs and delivers training for FI$Cal system users
Provides expert guidance on accounting modules
Leads training sessions and ensures users understand system processes
Works with departments and IT teams to develop materials, document processes, and improve training methods to support system updates and organizational goals
Qualification
Required
Applicants must be authorized to work in the US at all times during their employment with the Department of FISCal
The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired
The incumbent will use tact and interpersonal skills to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, e.g., stakeholders, customers, management, peers, etc., to facilitate communication to improve the work environment and increase productivity
This position requires the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
The incumbent is expected to perform functions and duties under the guidance of the Department of FISCal's core values
The incumbent provides back-up, as necessary, to ensure continuity of departmental activities
You must take and pass the examination to be list appointed for placement in the Accounting Administrator I (Specialist) classification
Preferred
Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and accurately both verbally and in writing
Experience with the FI$Cal system
State or governmental accounting experience
Experience delivering training content, facilitating meetings or presenting information to a large group
Experience serving as primary point of contact for customers/clients
Experience developing, reviewing, revising, maintaining, and updating various types of documentation/learning materials (e.g., job/desk aids, manuals, presentations, learning content, etc.)
Experience with Asset Management or Lease Administration
