They are seeking a Transportation Bridge Engineer III to provide structural design support for various transportation bridge projects for State, County, and Local Agencies.
Consulting
Responsibilities
Provide structural design support for our transportation bridge department
Design Bridge, Retaining Wall, Sea Wall, Roadway, Underground Utility, and Infrastructure improvements
Assist senior staff with proposal/project approach writing
Complete general civil engineering services for municipal, county, and state clients
Complete engineering plans and specifications using State DOT Standards
Process Federal Aid projects for a variety of clients
Assist project engineers and managers by making significant decisions on a wide variety of tasks required during project delivery
Qualification
Required
B.S. degree in Civil Engineering with coursework focused on structural engineering
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
At least 5 years of relevant job experience working on municipal or highway agency transportation bridge projects
Ability to travel throughout Baxter & Woodman's service area (own transportation)
Ability to independently handle a variety of ongoing tasks and responsibilities
Strong written, verbal, computer and organizational skills
Work within a team-first culture that encourages individual development and accomplishment of goals
Preferred
Knowledge of designing bridge improvements with MicroStation
Familiarity with structural analysis software
