Demonstrates foundational histotechniques of embedding, microtomy, coverslipping, processing and primary staining
Operates laboratory or manufacturing equipment
Receives detailed directions on all work. Follows standard operating procedures
Monitors and prepares bulk reagents
May assist in preparation work for moderately complex techniques under the direction of more senior histology technicians
Qualification
Required
H.S. Diploma or GED
1 year Directly related histology experience
1 year experience with foundational histotechniques of embedding, microtomy, coverslipping, processing and primary staining
1 year experience with operating laboratory or manufacturing equipment
Ability to read, analyze and follow Operating Procedures
