Responsibilities
Design, review, plan, conduct, and document laboratory testing and experiments for verification of medical devices and processes
Prepare test reports, test methods, data analyses, and data summaries
Support routine visual inspections and documentation of combination product retains
Address test non-conformances through execution of the UCC DDN process
Produce and maintain accurate, thorough, and well-organized laboratory documentation of all R&D activities
Perform testing and experiments in accordance with GDP, GMP, GLP, and Quality System Regulations (QSR)
Set up, safely operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and test instruments
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project timelines and deliverables
Qualification
Required
Ability to perform all essential duties satisfactorily with minimal supervision
Self-starter with strong time-management and prioritization skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to create, review, and coordinate test protocols and reports
Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze large data sets
Proficiency with personal computers and intermediate keyboarding skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and database systems
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited college or university
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and templates
Ability to write basic reports and business correspondence
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
Demonstrates sound judgment and practical problem-solving skills
Ability to interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, and schedule-based instructions
Ensures all product and process development activities comply with applicable laws and regulations
Seeks appropriate internal and external resources when clarification is needed
Regularly required to sit, walk, talk, and hear
Requires close vision and color vision
May be required to lift up to 25 lbs
Exposure to warehouse, manufacturing, laboratory, and office environments
Conditions may include noise, minimal heat, and limited chemical fume exposure
Operation and maintenance of laboratory test equipment and measurement instruments required
Preferred
1–2 years of experience in a laboratory environment, including basic lab activities, safety protocols, and equipment
Knowledge of design control processes, quality systems, and project management
Working knowledge of statistics
