Inventory Control Specialist

A-Line Staffing Solutions is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist. This role involves managing inventory processes including receiving, inspecting, and distributing stock, as well as maintaining accurate inventory records and operating material-handling equipment.

Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, unload, store, and distribute stock, supplies, and/or equipment
Review invoices, purchase order codes, and packing slips to verify accuracy of items and quantities
Inspect stock for damage and expiration dates, when applicable
Fill and deliver orders; store items appropriately and rotate stock for efficient inventory control
Conduct inventory counts; order supplies and equipment; complete inventory and related records
Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move and store inventory
Package drug orders after inspection and place completed orders in designated delivery locations
Operate pharmaceutical repackaging equipment to count, fill, package, cap, and label medication containers
Maintain repackaging equipment and records of lot numbers and expiration dates
Process incoming and outgoing mail; move furniture as needed
Clean, organize, and maintain storeroom or warehouse areas
Check other warehouse personnel’s orders for accuracy

Required

Working knowledge of inventory control and agency storeroom or warehouse procedures
Receive, inspect, unload, store, and distribute stock, supplies, and/or equipment
Review invoices, purchase order codes, and packing slips to verify accuracy of items and quantities
Inspect stock for damage and expiration dates, when applicable
Fill and deliver orders; store items appropriately and rotate stock for efficient inventory control
Conduct inventory counts; order supplies and equipment; complete inventory and related records

Knowledge of inventory control principles and storeroom or warehouse procedures
Knowledge of basic mathematics, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages
Knowledge of OSHA and other applicable safety standards and practices
Skill in operating equipment such as forklifts and pharmaceutical repackaging machines
Ability to recognize unusual or potentially hazardous conditions and take appropriate action
Ability to sort items according to established methods and complete forms accurately
Ability to work independently on most tasks
Ability to repeatedly lift up to 60 lbs. of stock or equipment
Formal education in arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages
Three (3) months of training or experience in inventory control
Employees working in a drug central warehouse or storeroom must pass a security screening
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
