ANALYST I
The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is the backbone of California's health care safety net, and they are seeking a Legal Support Analyst I to provide comprehensive legal support to DHCS programs and employees. This role involves conducting analytical research, drafting documents, and supporting case coordination in a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities
Provides independent analytical, administrative, and legal support to the OLS Branch/Section attorneys and management with a high degree of confidentiality due to the type of legal matters that OLS handles
Conducts detailed analytical research pertaining to complex legal assignments, reports, and issues
Evaluates administrative and technical processes and provides recommendations
Drafts a multitude of documents
Supports case coordination and technical system use in OLS’ platforms such as Relativity and ProLaw
Qualification
Required
Current version of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 (when not applying electronically), or the Electronic State Employment Application through your Applicant Account at www.CalCareers.ca.gov. All Experience and Education relating to the Minimum Qualifications listed on the Classification Specification should be included to demonstrate how you meet the Minimum Qualifications for the position

Statement of Qualifications - Describe and provide examples of your experience working in a legal office or similar professional/administrative setting. Describe your experience drafting, reviewing, formatting, editing and proofreading legal documents and other correspondence
Cover Letter is required and must be included
Preferred
Experience independently drafting, reviewing, formatting, editing, and proofreading documents and correspondence
Proficiency in overall use of Microsoft Office Suite; and advanced Outlook and Word proficiency
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Adaptable and able to remain productive in a fluid environment
Strong written and oral communications skills
Ability to evaluate situations accurately and take effective action
Ability to conduct research and effectively analyze information
Ability to exercise a high degree of initiative, flexibility, and confidentiality
Experience with handling urgent and time-sensitive tasks
Dependable, punctual, excellent attendance
Experience with ProLaw, Relativity, or other comparable legal software solution(s)
