Adam for Congress is seeking an experienced Finance Director to run an aggressive fundraising operation for Adam Dunigan's campaign in Virginia's 8th Congressional District. The role involves overseeing donor engagement, managing fundraising strategies, and ensuring effective collaboration with campaign teams.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute the campaign’s fundraising plan; set-cycle budgets; monitor burn rate and cash-on-hand; maintain audit-ready records, internal controls, and coordination with the Finance Committee

Plan and oversee donor call-time blocks and outreach; maintain call sheets and donor records; train and supervise volunteers and staff; monitor performance metrics and progress toward goals

Produce donor analytics and dashboards; ensure data hygiene and timely reporting; segment donors; align fundraising messaging with Communications and Field

Partner with Campaign Manager, Treasurer, Compliance, and Field teams to synchronize strategy and execution; manage relationships with external vendors and ensure timely, ethical fundraising operations

Required

3–5 years in campaign finance or fundraising operations; political campaign experience (congressional or state-level) preferred

Knowledge of donor databases/CRMs (e.g., VAN, VoteBuilder, NGP, Warchest)

Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, confidentiality

Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders

Proficiency with Google Workspace; familiarity with fundraising platforms

Availability for evenings/weekends; travel; valid driver's license preferred

Experience with high-volume donor outreach and events; familiarity with NOVA political landscape

Preferred

political campaign experience (congressional or state-level)
