Responsibilities
Collect and verify investment data while ensuring accurate and up to date security information is shared across various operational systems encompassing multiple asset classes including Fixed Income, Equities, and Derivatives
Support global investment initiatives through participation in projects, process reviews and/or system improvements
Proactively diagnose and manage high risk issues by reviewing and identifying operational improvements to ensure that data is handled and processed accurately and effectively throughout the investment lifecycle
Conduct special analyses and/or studies to ensure quality standards are met including data governance and audit requirements
Collaborate and partner with internal and external personnel to obtain information to resolve issues
Enhance understanding of Principal Global Investors' products, team procedures, and clients' needs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in accounting, finance, economics or business required
A minimum of 1+ years' work experience in investment/mutual fund operations or related field preferred
Excellent analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, time management and communication skills
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and timely information
Strong prioritization and flexibility as business needs change
Preferred
Knowledge of financial services and investment related terminology
Ability to build strong working relationships, exercise flexibility and effectively connect with internal and external contacts at all levels
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment under limited direct supervision
Bloomberg knowledge, SQL, and/or bot development
