Responsibilities
Plan and lead or assist in implementing manual or automated accounting systems
Identify, define and analyze complex accounting or financial problems
Prepare reports and recommendations based on studies, findings and evaluations of problems
Review and interpret legislation
Review or develop cost tracking systems
Develop procedure manuals for Countywide or departmental use in all areas of accounting and internal controls
Utilize advanced personal computer tools to accomplish all of the functions listed above
Interact with management and fiscal personnel from other organizations
Qualification
Required
Three (3) years of professional accounting experience that includes performing systems and procedures analysis of accounting systems
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Possession of an active CPA license
30 semester (45 quarter) units of completed college accounting coursework, with half of the accounting units being upper-division
Preferred
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
