Responsibilities

Lead the development of platform-native paid social content strategies aligned with brand, business, and channel objectives
Translate briefs into full-funnel paid social programs across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Snapchat, Reddit, and emerging platforms
Partner with the Content Manager and community resources to align and support organic social strategy and community engagement needs
Stay ahead of social, cultural, and platform trends to guide creative direction and testing roadmaps
Evaluate and optimize the social media tech stack, including publishing, listening, advocacy, and analytics tools
Establish KPIs to measure brand impact and drive continuous improvement
Lead hands-on optimization of paid social campaigns across priority platforms
Oversee campaign planning, creative briefing, content production, asset delivery, and performance optimization
Launch, manage, and refine always-on programs and tentpole campaign moments
Build scalable workflows balancing speed, quality, and experimentation
Partner with Media teams and platform representatives to leverage betas, trends, and new opportunities
Drive the creative vision for paid social by developing concepts and visual frameworks tailored to native platform behaviors
Brief creative, production, and influencer teams on social-first assets including UGC, short-form video, statics, and carousels
Champion new creator styles, editing techniques, cultural moments, and emerging trends
Ensure all creative aligns with brand guidelines, platform best practices, and campaign goals
Own reporting across key performance indicators in partnership with social insights, analytics teams, and agency partners
Translate performance data, platform trends, and audience behavior into actionable creative recommendations
Lead lift tests, A/B tests, and competitive trend analysis
Provide insights that shape long-term content strategy and creative evolution
Partner with Creative, Brand Marketing, PR, Organic Social, Influencer, Performance Marketing, CRM, and Product teams
Ensure alignment between paid and organic strategies and identify amplification opportunities
Collaborate with legal and compliance stakeholders
Work closely with external agency partners including VCCP, the unofficial brand agency of record
Manage relationships with creative agencies, platform reps, production vendors, and external partners
Support the transition of work previously handled by agencies back in-house
Guide and mentor junior team members, providing hands-on support and leadership

Required

3 to 6 years of hands-on paid social experience across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, Pinterest, Snapchat, and emerging platforms
Strong creative sensibilities with experience developing or guiding social-first ad concepts, formats, and messaging that drive measurable performance
Advanced analytical skills, including interpreting performance data, running A/B tests, leveraging platform insights, and making optimization recommendations

Preferred

Experience translating briefs into full-funnel paid and/or organic social strategies
Deep familiarity with short-form video, UGC-style content, and native social creative formats
Knowledge of influencer-driven paid strategies such as whitelisting and dark posting
Experience collaborating with creative teams, producers, editors, influencers, media partners, and agencies
Understanding of UTMs, pixels, tracking, and measurement frameworks
Strong communication, organization, and project management skills
Background in telecom, mobile, tech, subscription, or ecommerce is a plus
Familiarity with AI-optimized content, platform betas, and emerging storytelling trends
Vendor, platform, and agency management experience
Ability to mentor junior team members and support their development
Media experience is a plus, but candidates must be deeply content-focused
