Responsibilities
Design and develop electromechanical systems, including enclosures, mechanisms, sensors, and actuators
Collaborate with embedded software and firmware teams to ensure seamless hardware and software integration
Support schematic review, component selection, and hardware architecture decisions
Lead or contribute to system-level testing, validation, and reliability analysis
Troubleshoot hardware issues across prototype, pilot, and production builds
Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams to support production readiness
Contribute to continuous improvement of existing field-deployed products
Qualification
Required
Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
5+ years of experience in electromechanical product development
Hands-on experience with hardware used in physical, real-world environments
Working knowledge of embedded systems integration (microcontrollers, sensors, power, connectivity)
Experience with reliability testing, environmental testing, and failure analysis
Comfortable working across the full product lifecycle from concept through production
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work closely with firmware, software, and manufacturing teams
Preferred
Background in access control, security systems, IoT devices, or industrial hardware
Exposure to regulatory or compliance testing (UL, FCC, CE)
Experience supporting products with long service lives and field installations
