Responsibilities
Build the initial wheel-based robot for patient check-in in urgent care clinics, incorporating self-charging and safe navigation within a Bill of Materials (BOM) of - Solve the human-robot interaction challenge by crafting a magical experience that achieves a patient preference win-rate of >50% compared to in-person staff
Deploy a fleet of 50 robots in clinics that achieves a Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) of over 500 hours
Ship the contextual AI copilot that provides real-time guidance to operators, reducing new-hire training time from weeks to 24 hours and serving as the first step toward our future physical reasoning model
Qualification
Required
Hands-on experience integrating hardware, motors, sensors, and software into a single, polished, and reliable robot designed for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness
Ability to design and deploy efficient AI/ML algorithms and write clean code that runs reliably on the edge
Intuition for crafting a robot's physical presence and behaviors to overcome the uncanny valley, building the trust required for interactions to feel natural and helpful
Ability to question industry norms and solve problems from the ground up, with the creativity to devise unorthodox solutions in robotics
Relentless, proactive drive to hunt for the highest-leverage problems and opportunities, taking the initiative to solve them and owning the outcome
