Responsibilities

Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of mechanical systems from initial requirements through to production
Perform detailed engineering analyses including stress, thermal, and fluid dynamics simulations to validate design integrity and performance
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure designs meet constructability, cost, and quality standards
Develop and review technical documentation such as specifications, drawings, and models to support design development and compliance
Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior engineers, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing
Manage project timelines and resources effectively to meet milestones and deliverables
Identify opportunities for design improvements and implement innovative solutions to enhance work-product quality and efficiency

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
10 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering design and development
Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification
Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Plant3D or CADWorx
Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles including thermodynamics, mechanics of materials, and fluid mechanics
Experience with engineering analysis tools such as CAESAR II and AFT Fathom
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred

Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
Familiarity with pipeline, piping systems, and terminal operations
Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements relevant to mechanical design, particularly in the Oil and Gas Industry
Experience with project management tools and methodologies
