MECM Engineer
TEKsystems is a leading provider of business and technology services, and they are seeking a MECM Engineer to support enterprise-scale deployments. The role involves leading administration, engineering, and architecture efforts for MECM, as well as enhancing M365 services and managing Azure cloud resources.

Responsibilities
Lead Administration, Engineering, And Architecture Efforts For MECM Including
Third‑party patching solutions
Application packaging & deployment
Update rings, baselines, and compliance policies
Maintenance windows and collections
Reporting & SQL‑based insights
Log analysis and multi-layered troubleshooting
Database awareness/maintenance concepts
Support and lead migration efforts from MECM to Intune/MEM, including:
Autopilot deployments
Configuration Profiles, Compliance Policies, Feature Update Controls
Device standards creation and lifecycle governance
Co‑management and hybrid model optimization
Work with staff to standardize device builds, automate workflows, and enforce change control
Support And Enhance M365 Services Including
Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive
Email authentication (DKIM/SPF/DMARC) and Proofpoint
Administer Microsoft Entra ID, Including
Conditional Access & MFA
App Registrations & Enterprise Apps
Self-Service Password Reset
Manage Azure Cloud Resources
Azure Arc
Subscription & resource group structure
Storage management
Billing visibility & cost analysis
Evaluate workloads for cloud suitability and help define a roadmap toward full/hybrid cloud maturity
Support On‑premise Hyper-converged Environments Including
VMware vCenter, vSphere ESXi, vSAN, vDS
Dell VxRail & Dell server hardware
Commvault immutable backup
Dell RecoverPoint for VM
Dell Isilon NAS
Active Directory on‑prem support
Contribute to system design, migrations, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity efforts
Qualification
Required
MUST reside in California and be able to travel quarterly to Santa Barbara
Hands-on, Demonstrable Experience With MECM administration & engineering (required)
Strong MECM engineer with real-world experience supporting enterprise-scale deployments
Clear understanding of third‑party patching, automation, compliance, and endpoint lifecycle management
Experience migrating workloads to Intune or operating hybrid/co-management environments
Familiar with device standards, change control processes, scripting/automation (PowerShell ideal)
Strong problem solver who can deep-dive logs, databases, and system dependencies
Comfortable working across multiple departments and communicating with varying levels of technical expertise
