They are seeking a Program Manager to lead the NOAA AWIPS program, ensuring the stability and modernization of a vital system used by National Weather Service forecasters to track storms and issue alerts.

Responsibilities

Serve as the overall lead for contract execution and the primary point of contact
Provide leadership and oversight of all program activities including O&M, modernization, transition, and mission assurance
Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Quality Assurance Plans (QAP), and program risk management
Direct financial, staffing, and technical performance across all task areas
Engage senior stakeholders to ensure alignment with mission objectives

Required

12 years of experience, may have supervisory or management experience
PMP certification
Experience managing large Federal IT and O&M contracts
Experience using Agile principles to lead successful cloud migration efforts for mission critical systems
Demonstrated experience with mission-critical, high-availability enterprise systems
Ability to Obtain and Maintain a Public Trust

Preferred

Prior experience supporting NOAA, NWS, or similar mission-critical weather/environmental IT systems
Background in cloud migration or large-scale IT modernization programs
Active/Current Public Trust
