Responsibilities
Draft legal documents such as motions, briefs, and pleadings, including but not limited to motions for preliminary and final approval of class/PAGA action settlements
Attend hearings and argue motions in court/arbitration
Conduct legal research and analysis
Assist in client meetings
Manage caseloads and ensure deadlines are met
Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex legal matters
Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards
Qualification
Required
Active California State Bar license required, with no disciplinary history
At least 1 year of experience handling Class/PAGA action settlement approval briefing and argument strongly preferred
Superior oral advocacy skills, experience, and confidence
Great analytical and critical thinking skills
Attention to detail
Honesty
Dependability
Ability to follow instructions and/or work independently
Very computer savvy
Fluent in English (spoken & written)
Preferred
Experience in plaintiff or defense side employment law, wage & hour, and Class/PAGA actions is a plus
Microsoft Word/ Excel/Outlook
Adobe Acrobat/Apple Operating System
Clio/Other software's
Spanish is a plus
