Responsibilities
Lead hands-on test bench engineering by designing and executing electrical test setups using tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes; take full ownership of test processes from planning to execution and documentation
Develop and implement robust test plans and custom test programs to evaluate the performance, reliability, and functionality of electronic systems in aerospace and defense environments
Validate board-level electronic components, ensuring compliance with technical requirements through rigorous test methodologies that integrate software, hardware, and electrical engineering disciplines
Continuously improve lab processes and testing methodologies, calibrate and maintain test equipment, and challenge existing practices to achieve best-in-class testing standards and operational efficiency
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with a solid foundation in test engineering principles and lab instrumentation
4+ years of professional experience in a Test Bench Engineer role
Strong character, high integrity, and commitment to excellence—we're looking for someone who brings both technical competency and a team-first mindset to the table
Hands-on experience is a must—you should be someone who thrives at the test bench, not just in meetings. You've built, tested, debugged, and iterated directly with equipment and systems
Proven proficiency with lab equipment such as signal generators, oscilloscopes, Keysight and Keithley meters, multimeters, environmental chambers, and thermo-stream systems
Deep understanding of AC/DC power systems, with an emphasis on AC applications; able to assemble and troubleshoot equipment, interpret test data, adjust control software, and guide continuous improvement
Preferred
Experience with PCB design, soldering, LabVIEW, and FPGA-based test engineering, with bonus points for RF testing capabilities and a hands-on approach to full product lifecycle validation
Familiarity with the defense industry and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), especially regarding Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) components and compliance requirements in government programs
