The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is committed to providing safety and service to the public, and they are seeking an Analyst I to manage the DataQ system. The Analyst I will be responsible for data analysis, quality assurance, and ensuring accurate reporting for the Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program.

Responsibilities

Manage the DataQ system and respond to requests for data reviews from commercial carriers and others
Conduct policy and data analysis relating to quality assurance and communicate findings from the California Collision Reporting System
Prepare and analyze data quality reports generated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration
Analyze trends in data quality and timeliness and recommend necessary action
Research and correct erroneous or missing data from Iteris inspections and SafeSpect crash data
Run queries and Public Records Act requests upon request from internal or external stakeholders
Support data uploads to the Motor Carrier Management Information System to ensure good timeliness ratings
