Electrical Engineering Intern
Imperative Care is developing novel robotic-assisted technologies aimed at improving outcomes for ischemic stroke patients. The Electrical Engineering Intern will assist senior engineers in testing, evaluating, and redesigning components of surgical-robotic solutions, contributing to the development of better access to care for stroke patients.

Responsibilities
Participate in the design, and development and prototyping of new concepts and test procedures (methods and fixtures)
Solve technical issues by troubleshooting and determining root cause
Design, plan, and execute laboratory experiments to evaluate feasibility of concepts
Perform verification testing, which may include protocol development and documentation of experimental execution, as well as report writing
Review test data against established acceptance criteria and write appropriate test reports
Interact with engineers to understand product requirements
Document relevant information (i.e., new ideas, test results, build procedure, etc.) in lab notebook according to good laboratory practices or company procedure
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 2 years of college-level coursework in an Electrical Engineering or related discipline & a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Familiar with electrical R&D equipment used for prototyping common medical devices (oscilloscope, multimeters, soldering equipment, power supplies, cable assembly tools)
Able to use Altium Designer or equivalent tools for drawing and designing electrical schematics and completing PCB layout
Strong organizational skills: management of multiple priorities and timing
Good interpersonal skills, effective communication with R&D and other departments
