Communications and Marketing Coordinator
YMCA of the USA is seeking a Communications and Marketing Coordinator to support their Communications and Marketing Department. Responsibilities
Graphic Design - Create and produce high-quality digital and print materials on a regular basis. This includes, but is not limited to, flyers, posters, program guides, advertisements, social media graphics, signage, carousels, banners, and other related marketing and development assets. Work efficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining brand consistency across all YMCA of Virginia’s Blue Ridge materials
Advertisement Production - Assist with the creation, execution, and coordination of digital and print advertising efforts. Support campaign rollout by preparing creative assets, coordinating timelines, and ensuring ads align with campaign goals and brand standards
Social Media Management & Content Support - Support the daily management and content production for approximately 12 social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Youtube) under the YMCA of Virginia’s Blue Ridge umbrella. Utilize strong writing skills to create clear, engaging copy tailored to each platform
Digital Marketing (email, app, web) - Assist in coordination and scheduling of email communications, including specialized newsletters, app notifications, and targeted campaigns. Assist with content preparation, editing, and scheduling
Photography & Videography - Assist with capturing photos and videos that reflect the YMCA’s mission, programs, and community impact. Follow best practices for composition and storytelling. Assist with video editing for social media, campaigns, and other digital platforms as needed
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Workspace, and Google Analytics; with working knowledge of content management and scheduling tools such as Hootsuite and Asana
Familiarity with key social media platforms and tools, including Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn, YouTube, Linktree, and Bitly
Understanding of videography and video editing best practices
Previous experience in marketing, communications, or a related field required
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across teams and platforms
Comfortable working independently while staying organized, attentive to detail, and able to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines with support from Communications and Marketing Director
Must be able to pass a criminal background check
