Composite Technician I

Responsibilities
Assemble composite materials into sub-assemblies and armor panels using hand and power tools
Apply and mix release agents, sealants, solvents, adhesives, and resins on a daily basis
Use measuring instruments such as scales and calipers to ensure accuracy
Stand for extended shifts (up to 10 hours) and perform repetitive tasks with precision
Adhere to company safety policies and procedures at all times
Support aircraft seat cushion component assembly, including bonding, cutting, and grinding of foam, plastics, and laminated materials
Perform additional tasks as assigned to support production needs
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a production assembly environment, or technical schooling in related areas (or an approved equivalent combination of experience, training, and education)
Ability to use both hands for manipulating and constructing composite assemblies
Proficiency with basic hand tools, pneumatic or electric power tools, and mechanical processes
Ability to lift, move, pull, and transfer products weighing up to 40 lbs. unaided
Ability to read and follow work instructions and work order details accurately
Respirator clearance (required)
Preferred
Technical institute certifications or degree in a related field
