Responsibilities
Package and bag finished tortillas at the end of the production line
Box finished products, remove defective bags, stack boxes, and complete all packaging tasks
Rotate through multiple duties throughout the shift to keep production running smoothly
Lift up to 30 lbs and remain on your feet during the shift
Communicate equipment issues to machine operators
Ensure packaging materials are stocked and used correctly
Place tortillas neatly into packaging and verify proper sealing
Inspect seals and remove any products that don’t meet quality standards
Confirm correct coding and legibility on all packages and cartons
Prepare boxes, operate box printers, seal and tape cartons
Stack finished products on pallets in the correct pattern
Wrap pallets and move them to the warehouse
Maintain supplies in the packing area and manage waste containers
Qualification
Required
At least 6 months of packaging or production line experience
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently
Comfortable working in a warm environment (up to 100 degrees)
Basic computer skills for entering job data
Ability to stand for an entire shift
Comfortable wearing gowns, hairnets, and hearing protection
Able to work in an environment where gluten is present
Preferred
Food production or bakery experience is a plus
