Instructional Systems Designer
Flatter, Inc. is seeking an Instructional Systems Designer or experienced curriculum developers who have documented experience developing and delivering communications curriculum. This role requires expert knowledge in adult learning theories and instructional curriculum development to assist in the development and delivery of lessons related to communications training.

Responsibilities
Collaborating on existing training programs and blended learning implementation strategies
Providing quality assurance / control on design plans and instructional materials
Creating professional level presentation materials
Regularly participating in meetings requiring close interactions with various project stakeholders (clients, SME, and end users)
Performing needs and/or gap analysis to determine training needs
Tracking work and schedules to ensure that work is completed within scheduling parameters; and producing quality results in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
Qualification
Required
Possess a degree in education or a related field, from an accredited college or university
Experience in adult education in seminars, lectures, or working-group formats
Possess the ability to conduct front-end analysis for instructional requirements that support adult learning theories and an overall training situation analysis prior to developing a plan for instructional design and development
Comprehensive knowledge of methods and possess expertise in developing courseware for a variety of communication delivery methods including instructor-led training (ILT) and web-based training (WBT), and the ability to evaluate existing courseware to measure its effectiveness
Develop a plan and timeline to create instructional design documentation; products may include but are not limited to: instructional systems design and documentation, storyboards, narrative scripts, graphics, textbooks, tests, and scenario props. All designs shall adhere to the standards set by the ADDIE model
Design and develop curriculum, total course materials for participants and facilitators, including student outlines, handouts, facilitator guides, performance exercises, evaluations, activities, job aids and all other required materials

Preferred
Former curriculum developers/faculty staff members with experience teaching enlisted professional military education (EPME) programs
Prior military experience developing and designing training and education products and solutions aligned with the Systems Approach to Training and Education (SATE) methodology
Experience in training design (create, customize and work from open space related to finding the right solution to engage and improve performance)
Experience in media development, publishing, and content management
Knowledge and experience working in the DoD environment
Adobe eLearning Suite (Captivate, Articulate, Photoshop, etc.) and experience and LMS administration a plus (Blackboard – Moodle)
Experience with the DAF Learning Management System (LMS)
Experience with Articulate Storyline and ability to build SCORM packages for upload into the DAF LMS
