Engineering Intern
PURIS is dedicated to cultivating a better food system and making a positive impact. The Process Engineer Intern will support the Engineering and Operations teams in improving the efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of plant-based protein manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities
Assist in monitoring and improving manufacturing processes to enhance quality, yield, and energy efficiency
Collect and analyze process data to identify performance trends and recommend improvements
Support process validation, equipment trials, and scale-up activities for new ingredients or product lines
Partner with maintenance and reliability teams to document standard operating procedures and best practices
Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, and throughput
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, R&D, Operations) to ensure process changes align with PURIS’s sustainability and food safety goals
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Food Engineering, or a related discipline
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Basic understanding of process flow diagrams, instrumentation, and data analysis tools
Interest in sustainable food manufacturing and the agricultural technology sector
Preferred
Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement concepts is a plus
