GE Vernova is seeking a Turbine Technician responsible for the assembly, disassembly, and inspection of Aero Derivative gas turbine engines. The role involves conducting thorough inspections, maintaining accurate records, and troubleshooting any issues that arise during the process.

Responsibilities

Efficient routing of engine hardware, assemblies, and materials, adhering to material handling and storage protocols
Conduct thorough inspections of gas turbine engines, components, and hardware to ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality standards
Document and report any discrepancies identified during inspections, utilizing service manuals as a reference
Maintain accurate records and documentation of turbine assembly, disassembly, or repairs as per the Quality Management System (QMS) guidelines
Troubleshoot and address in-process problems, malfunctions, or component failures
Utilize precision measuring instruments, hand and power tools, and shop equipment to perform assigned tasks
Adhere strictly to safety protocols and compliance measures in alignment with current policies
Ensure a clean and organized workspace to uphold safety standards and prevent Foreign Object Debris (FOD) incidents
Collaborate both independently and within teams to support continuous improvement initiatives
Flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet production and customer requirements
Perform any other duties as assigned

Required

High School Diploma/GED
Minimum of 3 years of experience working on Gas Turbine or Aircraft Engine Services
Proficiency in reading and communicating in English
Ability to lift 40 lbs
Demonstrated proficiency in using various hand tools, including torque wrenches, transducers, dial indicators, micrometers, and other precision instruments
Ability to read and interpret service repair manuals and technical publications
Basic computer skills
Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills
