Sales Director - Civix Software Group
Civix is a company focused on providing software solutions to government entities. They are seeking an experienced Sales Director responsible for promoting and selling Civix software solutions to new and existing clients, particularly in the Western Region of the US.

Responsibilities
Consistently achieve and exceed sales targets
Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline for GoElect, GoRegister, and GoEthics products
Develop and execute a comprehensive territory plan targeting state and local entities
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including Secretary of State offices, City and County Clerks, and Ethics Commissions
Manage the full sales cycle — from prospecting, qualification, discovery, demo, to contract negotiation and closing
Collaborate with internal teams (pre-sales, development, customer success) to align Civix solutions to business outcomes for our customers
Stay current on the competitive landscape and trends in all three product areas to effectively position Civix solutions
Keep informed on state election laws, ethics regulations, and compliance standards to position our software effectively
Represent the company at industry conferences, government meetings, and networking events
Provide accurate sales forecasts and reporting in CRM (HubSpot)
Act as the quarterback for sales pursuits, providing strategy and guidance for solution engineers, product, customer success, and delivery
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Political Science, Public Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
7+ years of field sales experience, with at least 3 years in government or public sector technology solutions
Proven track record of selling software solutions to State and Local government
Strong understanding of election processes, ethics compliance, and regulatory frameworks
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to establish trust with Executive stakeholders
Strategic thinker who can navigate complex political environments and procurement cycles
Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events
Preferred
Experience with SaaS solutions in the Public Sector
Working with channel partners and resellers
Familiarity with lobbying, campaign finance, business services, and election systems
Experience with MEDDPICC sales methodology
