Responsibilities

Manage the development and optimization of manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient and cost-effective production. Utilize and develop automation as a means to reduce human factors
Conduct Cpk and capabilities analysis to assess process performance, production trends, and implement solutions to improve yield and throughput
Provide engineering support for manufacturing operations, troubleshooting production issues, and implementing corrective actions
Utilize CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for designing and improving manufacturing tools, fixtures, and equipment
Develop and update detailed process documentation, work instructions, and process flow diagrams
Collaborate with R&D, design, and production teams to transition new products from concept to production
Work on continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process optimization techniques
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental regulations
Participate in product design reviews and provide feedback on manufacturability and cost-efficiency

Required

3+ years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
Experience with prototyping and implementation
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
2+ years developing manufacturing and/or automation processes
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Preferred

Knowledge of SolidWorks simulation or Ansys Finite Element analysis tools
Experience in the design of complex mechanical products and equipment at volume
Developed tools/applications/data processing utilizing AI
Implemented industrial motion systems (robots, servo motors, sensor systems) to solve manufacturability challenges
Familiar with code languages (python preferred)
