Cherokee Nation is seeking an Intern to assist the directorate, supervisors, and other staff members with various projects. The role involves providing administrative, clerical, and analytical support, researching assigned projects, and assisting in preparing presentations and reports.

Responsibilities

Provides administrative, clerical, and analytical support to directorate
Applies learned knowledge of real-life business situation
Utilizes applicable computer systems/programs to perform assigned tasks
Assists other staff members in projects as assigned
Researches assigned projects and gather data for assigned project
May produce reports, memos, and other documents
Interacts with applicable elements of the organization
May assist in preparing and presenting presentations
May assist management in coordinating projects
May attend meetings
Other duties may be assigned

Qualification

Spreadsheet softwareWord Processing softwareInternet softwareStandard office equipmentAnalytical skills

Required

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or six months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of Internet software
Knowledge of Spreadsheet software
Knowledge of Word Processing software
Must be able to operate standard office equipment and computer software
Employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear
Employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit and reach with hands and arms
Employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts
Employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions; extreme heat and risk of electrical shock
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate

Preferred

A valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating may be required by department
