The Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park is seeking an Event Host to join their Park Experiences team. This role involves assisting with the setup and maintenance of event spaces, providing exceptional customer service, and acting as the point person for various events and programs within the park.

Responsibilities

Assist with and/or act as the point person for Conservancy special events and programs, such as weddings, meetings, and events
Provide exceptional customer service to all of our guest groups
Serve as Event Host for Conservancy Extraordinary Spaces events, including opening and closing venue space, answering venue questions, and being familiar with floor plans, checklists, and timeline for special events and programs
Communicate with event caterers about our facilities and operations rules and requirements

Qualification

Required

Must be 18 years or older
Open availability on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays required, along with occasional weekdays and evenings
Proven customer service experience and successful interpersonal skills
Able to communicate clearly and coherently in written and verbal correspondence, such as email and phone
Able to travel frequently between sites in Cuyahoga Valley National Park and to locations outside the park
This position can be physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand for long periods of time on hard surfaces, walk and carry items up and down stairs, reach high and low shelves, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and evidence of insurability are required
