PART-TIME EPIDEMIOLOGIST / PUBLIC HEALTH

St. Charles County Government is seeking a part-time epidemiologist to assist with communicable disease investigations and data management. The role involves working with various community organizations and health providers to conduct investigations, analyze data, and prepare reports.

Responsibilities

Work with hospitals, local health care providers, ambulances, pharmacies, laboratories, schools, churches, mortuaries and community organizations
Make phone calls, complete investigation forms, enter data into EMR
Conduct communicable disease investigations
Analyze county data on an as-needed basis
Prepare reports that include summary charts and graphs
Assist in quality control of data and support issues from users and vendors
Maintain and implement surveillance programs; passive and active surveillance and situational awareness of county health information for various divisions of the department, including health services, humane and environmental programs
Maintain relationship with MoDHSS and regional LPHA epidemiologists
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Master's Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Nursing, Health Care Administration or other related biological or biostatistics science
Minimum three (3) years professional experience in Public Health, Epidemiology, or Emergency Management
Valid driver's license
Must satisfactorily complete training on MOHSIS within 3 months of employment and ERDCS & NIMS within 3 months of implementation and other courses required by MO Department of Health and Senior Services
