Responsibilities
Assisting attorneys in all stages of litigation cases from onset through post-trial
Conducting legal research and factual investigation
Drafting pleadings, motions, and appellate documents and filing them with the court
Organizing and managing documents, including creating and managing databases and overseeing document production
Coordinating expert witnesses and managing depositions
Assisting in trial preparation, including compiling trial notebooks, organizing exhibits, and managing trial logistics
Coordinating case management activities and ensuring compliance with legal and procedural requirements
Conducting pre-claim investigation, legal research, and initial case assessments
Review, revision, and approval of draft bills
Qualification
Required
A minimum of 7 years of experience as a civil litigation paralegal, preferably with significant experience supporting commercial litigation efforts
A bachelor's degree in law, paralegal studies, or a related field
Proven experience in drafting pleadings, conducting legal research, and managing complex document production
Knowledge of e-discovery procedures and experience with litigation databases
Strong knowledge of federal and Texas state court rules, procedures, and protocols
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred
A paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program
