Responsibilities
Develop and execute short- and long-term strategic plans for live events
Lead the tactical implementation of strategy, working with Event Managers to develop detailed tactical briefs
Deliver against financial, operational, and customer KPIs, including revenue growth, retention, NPS, and customer satisfaction
Identify and pursue opportunities to expand the Futurist brands into adjacent sectors, new geographies, platforms, and customer segments
Support the development of event and product pricing strategies, including floorplan strategy, product bundling, and value-based pricing
Support the development and management of strategic partnerships and association relationships
Own the delivery of an exceptional customer experience across all touchpoints
Drive innovation in event formats, activations, and engagement models before, during, and after the events
Challenge existing ways of working to improve engagement, ROI for exhibitors and sponsors, and audience satisfaction
Ensure innovation is balanced with operational discipline and commercial return
Own and manage the event P&L, working closely with Finance
Deliver accurate and timely forecasting, KPI reporting, and business performance updates
Produce monthly reports and senior leadership updates
Lead cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, IT, Registration, and Content
Maintain full accountability for customer experience and delivery standards
Line-manage team members through regular 1:1s, coaching, and performance management
Monitor team and individual performance against targets, KPIs, and MBOs
Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of new team members
Contribute to annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles
Oversee the day-to-day execution of events across Marketing, Sales, Operations, Content, Media, and Partnerships
Guide the development and execution of marketing campaigns, experiential programs, sponsor activations, and partner initiatives
Provide direction on conference programming, keynote content, and live agendas
Ensure operational plans are executed on time, on budget, and to a high standard
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5+ years' experience leading B2B exhibitions or conferences or Blockchain / Crypto space
Proven experience owning strategy, execution, and commercial performance of events
Demonstrated ability to lead teams with credibility, energy, and clarity
Strong relationship-building skills at senior and C-suite level
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and public speaking abilities
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
