NEOGOV is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Land Use Payroll Support Specialist to join their Land Use Services Department. This role involves supporting payroll operations through documentation, data management, and effective communication with employees regarding payroll inquiries.

Responsibilities

Communicate effectively through email, phone, and in-person interactions
Review payroll calculations for accuracy
Perform accurate data entry and maintain organized digital records and database
Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism
Work independently on assigned tasks and contribute effectively in team environments
Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies
Research and interpret various county records/policies

Required

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
High School Diploma or equivalent
Strong research skills

Preferred

Minimum of 2 years experience in a payroll support role
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
Strong Organizational and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communications abilities
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Some experience with the Employee, Management and Compensation Systems (EMACS)

Benefits

This position will participate in the County's Deferred Compensation Plan and does not earn any other benefits
This position is an extra help position and is not eligible for benefits through San Bernardino County.
