As a Sheet Metal Technician, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining sheet metal across the campus, focusing primarily on hand railings and other areas that might require sheet metal installation or fabrication.

Responsibilities
Perform metal repairs on mobile or stationary equipment
Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces, seams, and joints of assembled parts using hand tools and portable power tools
Install door hinges, panic bars, thresholds, motorized projector screens and mounts, and toilet partitions
Maintain kitchen equipment, roof gutters, and overhead doors
Install and repair roofing and flashing materials
Drill and punch holes in metal for screws, bolts, and rivets
Fasten seams and joints together with welds, bolts, cements, rivets, solders, caulks, metal drive clips, and bonds to assemble components into products or repair sheet metal items
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in sheet metal work
Experience with MIG/TIG welding for at least 2 years
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Experience with roofing and rooftop installations, specifically TPO Roofing
