Responsibilities
Manage and support all phases of litigation, from pleadings through trial
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery demands and responses, and legal memoranda
Prepare for and participate in hearings, depositions, and mediations
Develop and execute case strategy and manage workflow with minimal supervision
Communicate and coordinate directly with opposing counsel, courts, experts, and third parties
Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation and advisory matters
Support tax, trust, estate planning, and estate administration matters as needed
Provide practical, business-minded advice aligned with client objectives
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Licensed to practice law in New Jersey (active, in good standing); licensure in New York, or eligibility to waive in, is a plus
3–5 years of litigation experience at a law firm
Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Strong courtroom presence and advocacy ability
Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines independently
Exceptional client service and communication skills
Preferred
Experience or exposure to tax, trusts & estates, business, and commercial law
Prior experience with complex litigation and multi-party disputes
Proven track record drafting substantive legal documents
