In this role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and support access control while delivering strong customer service and communication.

Responsibilities
Provide customer service to employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors at a technology and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fire alarms, and access control issues
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior
Monitor access points and verify identification and/or authorization for entry, following visitor management and badging procedures as required by site policy
Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems as assigned, and report irregular conditions for follow-up
Document daily activities, patrol observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns in written reports and/or electronic logs
Assist with screening and routing of deliveries and service providers, including coordinating with site contacts for access to restricted areas
Support building opening and closing procedures, including checking doors, gates, and common areas for irregularities
Communicate clearly with Allied Universal supervision, site representatives, and local emergency response agencies when needed, using radios, phones, and/or computer-based systems
Participate in site briefings and complete required training to stay current on post orders, emergency procedures, and technology-related operational needs
Qualification
Required
Be at least 21 years of age
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
CPR certification is preferred
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
Customer service experience is preferred
Access control and badge experience is preferred
