Responsibilities
Assists in the research, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of reporting and analytical tools in the context of the Department and hospital's clinical and/or financial systems. Collaborates with clinical and administrative staff to ensure that reports are timely, accurate, meaningful, and interpretable
Performs standardized data validation activities to ensure the accuracy of information prior to sharing with audiences and the highest quality information for decision-making
Assists in the creation of databases as needed and maintains a valid, accurate data repository to ensure availability of required information, including the Cardiology data repository, ensuring it is accurate and accessible for applicable users Assists in the definition of key data elements, data collection procedures, and integrity of databases. Improves and maintains the production environment for tasks and applications
Works with team members to develop insightful display of data using visualization tools
Assists in the interpretation of data, and provides team with data-driven recommendations
Provides administrative support to the Director of Heart Center QI, including scheduling, communications, meeting preparation, and coordination of departmental initiatives
Qualification
Required
High School / GED required
Experience with Data Analytics tools
Understanding of basic relational database concepts, SQL syntax, and coding practices
Familiarity with dimensional data modeling concepts used in data warehousing, business intelligence, and business analytics applications
Ability to translate reporting needs expressed in clinical or operational terms to technical solutions based on existing data, data structures, and query tool functionality
