Responsibilities
Design and develop new features for the tools platform, owning decisions on architecture, usability, and performance
Leverage deep expertise in frontend and backend systems to extend capabilities, improve efficiency, and perform strategic migrations
Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to drive sustainable, well-architected solutions
Mentor and grow engineers on the team, sharing knowledge and raising the bar for excellence
Influence technical strategy and roadmaps across GCP and adjacent teams
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
Exceptional proficiency in the fundamentals of TypeScript, JavaScript, and React for web development
Knowledge of GraphQL and RESTful APIs for backend connectivity
Endlessly curious with a keen interest in developer productivity and a proactive approach to learning and innovation
Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for delivering high-quality products
Able to communicate complex technical issues and their business impact to stakeholders clearly
Seeks different perspectives and relevant information to consider tradeoffs and avoid over-engineering
Demonstrates good judgment by being unusually responsible and transparent even when it's difficult
Preferred
Bonus: experience with design tools like Figma or Photoshop
