Responsibilities

Perform mechanical and structural assembly of aerospace components per work instructions, blueprints, and engineering drawings
Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and test equipment to assemble, fit, and install parts and components
Conduct inspections of in-process and completed assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards
Prepare and apply surface coatings (e.g., primers, sealants, bonding agents) according to engineering documentation and process specifications (preferred)
Fast-paced, collaborative manufacturing setting
May require standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and wearing PPE
Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required to meet production schedules

Required

High school diploma/GED with 1-3 years of experience working in precision assembly and/or aerospace manufacturing assembly
Skillful knowledge of power tools, hand tools, and assembling structures with the ability to learn the integration of large structures
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, engineering documents, and assembly instructions
Proficient in using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges)
Strong mechanical aptitude and hand-eye coordination
Basic computer skills and familiarity with ERP/shop floor systems
Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs
Must be adept with hand tools including drills, grinders, wrenches and screwdrivers, impact rivet guns, rivet puller
Must be able to work overtime, including weekends, as required
Must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance
