Non-profit Organization Management
Responsibilities
Organizing content into a clear site structure
Designing a homepage that’s easy to scan and understand
Creating a few basic page templates (About, Programs, Support, etc.)
Design guidance we can realistically maintain ourselves
Sitemap / basic information architecture
Homepage design
2–3 supporting page templates
Light design system guidance
Connections/Integrations with GiveButter, etc
Qualification
Required
Experience in website design and development
Ability to organize content into a clear site structure
Skills in designing user-friendly homepage and page templates
Knowledge of readability and accessibility best practices
Experience with design systems and guidance
Familiarity with platforms like WordPress, Wix, and Squarespace
Ability to create a sitemap and basic information architecture
Willingness to collaborate and provide design guidance that can be maintained by the organization
Preferred
Experience with Canva Pro or similar design tools
Understanding of nonprofit sector and its unique challenges
Interest in science communication and community engagement
