Supply Chain Manager
American Chrome Company, Inc is a recognized leader in OEM-grade and aftermarket components for the heavy truck, trailer, and RV industries. They are seeking a hands-on, strategic Supply Chain Manager to lead procurement, planning, logistics, customer care integration, and supplier performance across a global supply base.
Responsibilities
Lead end‑to‑end supply chain operations including planning, sourcing, logistics, and fulfillment
Manage a global supplier base, including APAC suppliers—experience with APAC regions highly preferred, Mandarin language skills a plus
Provide leadership to a team of two direct reports, fostering development, collaboration, and accountability
Drive S&OP, demand planning, and supply planning processes to ensure material availability
Act as both a roll‑up‑your‑sleeves operator and a strategic leader capable of elevating the function
Lead sourcing, negotiation, supplier selection, and contract management
Partner with MPS on supplier quality, corrective actions, and continuous improvement
Support trade show attendance and industry exposure as needed (minimal travel)
Ensure on‑time delivery performance, supporting order fulfillment accuracy and efficiency
Collaborate closely with Customer Care (including interactions with Poland and China) to resolve supply, delivery, and service issues
Ensure proactive communication with internal and external stakeholders
Manage supply chain KPIs including OTD (internal and external), supplier scorecards, cost, quality, delivery, inventory turns, and safety
Drive Purchase Price Variance (PPV) improvements and cost‑savings initiatives
Prepare and present performance metrics, corrective actions, and continuous improvement plans
Partner with Sales, Customer Care, Engineering, Manufacturing, Warehousing, and Finance
Qualification
Required
APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP, or similar) — must demonstrate strong discipline, rigor, and methodology
5–7 years of supply chain/operations management experience, ideally with people leadership
Strong leadership presence with the ability to elevate the team and function
Experience in manufacturing, operations, warehouse management, or distribution
Proven ability to operate in a small‑business, multi‑hat environment
Strong customer‑facing mindset and communication skills
Experience with supply‑and‑demand planning, supplier management, logistics, and inventory optimization
Preferred
Automotive / heavy‑duty truck manufacturing — ideally familiar with OEM/OES models (e.g., Volvo‑type customers)
Warehouse/distribution environments serving manufacturing or aftermarket customers
Appliance, medical device, electrical components, or other low‑margin, high‑efficiency industries
