Director/ExecutiveHavenstead Inc. is a newly formed nonprofit organization dedicated to humanitarian aid, transitional housing, and long-term stability for individuals and families facing displacement. They are seeking a Volunteer Board Chairperson to provide strategic leadership to the Board of Directors and support the organization’s governance as it scales.

Responsibilities
Serve as the presiding officer of the Board of Directors
Facilitate and lead Board meetings (virtual/in-person as needed)
Partner with the Founder/Executive Director on strategic direction and governance
Ensure Board compliance with bylaws, ethical standards, and fiduciary duties
Support Board development, engagement, and effectiveness
Act as a key ambassador for Havenstead within professional and community networks
Help guide long-term planning once funding and programs are active
Qualification
Required
Prior experience in one or more of the following: Nonprofit governance
Prior experience in one or more of the following: Executive leadership
Prior experience in one or more of the following: Finance, law, or compliance
Prior experience in one or more of the following: Community development or social services
Strong leadership, facilitation, and communication skills
Ability to think strategically and govern responsibly
Commitment to Havenstead's mission and values
Ability to dedicate time for periodic meetings and consultation
