Responsibilities
Monitor Production Schedules: Track and update the status of ongoing production processes, ensuring that timelines are met and materials are available when needed to avoid delays
Prevent Stoppages: Communicate between cross-functional teams to expedite the delivery of materials, track any shortages to resolution, and highlight incoming production blockers
Resolve Bottlenecks and Adjust Timelines: Identify and address potential production delays, adjusting schedules or reallocating resources to maintain smooth operations and minimize downtime
Satisfy Customers: Ensure the delivery of completed end-items to their staging location for internal customer pickup, testing, and evaluation
Qualification
Required
Education: An associate's degree or higher is required (or equivalent experience / certifications)
Experience: 2+ years of previous demonstrated excellence in a manufacturing, production, or logistics environment is required with a preference for experience in production planning or inventory management
Skills: Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential. The ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously within set timelines, and maintain attention to detail is important
Technical Knowledge: In-depth familiarity with manufacturing processes, production scheduling software, and inventory management systems (e.g., ERP / MRP systems) is required
Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with various departments, suppliers, and vendors to resolve issues and keep production on track
Preferred
Experience in a defense and/or manufacturing startup environment
APICS certification desired
Deltek Costpoint familiarity desired
